A handmade gourd rattle crafted in Zimbabwe from a naturally dried gourd with a smooth cane handle. Also known as a shaker or maraca, it's played by shaking to produce a warm, organic rhythm rooted in traditional African music.
Approximately 27cm long, each rattle is hollowed and dried by hand before the cane handle is fitted, giving it a lightweight but sturdy grip. Because the materials are entirely natural, every shaker is slightly unique in shape, tone and finish.
