🌍 One year ago, we were in Kenya—sharing chai and stories with Samuel and his family in Kisii, with Naftal and his son, and with Anastacia, whose tall olivewood giraffes stand proud like sentinels of tradition 🦒✨. We met so many incredible artisans whose skill and spirit continue to inspire us.

🛠️ Since then...
Designs were finalised ✅
Soapstone was quarried ⛏️
Wood was carved 🌳
And the artisans brought each piece to life with care and creativity ❤️
Samuel transported the collection to Nairobi 🚚
From there, the container full of treasures journeyed to Mombasa, sailed to Felixstowe ⚓, and finally arrived in Wiltshire 🏡.

🏗️ We even had to build a new store to house it all—complete with digging, stacking, and a fair bit of sweat!
And then... it landed.
9.6 metric tonnes of handmade beauty that took serious unloading, sorting, and stacking 💪

💻 Since then, we’ve rebuilt and revamped our website around the thousands of new items—from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Senegal, and beyond.
We’re a small team, so it’s taken time—but every step has been worth it.
And now... we’re ready! (Well, almost—still a few hundred more items to list 😅)
